About the Outing

Anyone who was lucky enough to know Mike knew that Travers weekend was what he lived for - horses, golf, great food/drinks, and loved ones was his ultimate superfecta. What you may not know is that Mike was a loyal supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and never missed an opportunity to contribute to this amazing organization that does so much to help kids dealing with life-threatening health issues... although this probably won't come as a surprise to anyone who knew what a big heart Mike had.

Travers will never be the same without Mike there to make everyone laugh, but we know he'd want us to keep the traditions alive and what better way to honor his memory than a charity golf outing with the family and friends he loved more than anything?! I'm sure Mike will be sitting up there next to his buddies watching over us with an ice-cold "winker" saying "This is livin'!".

WHAT: An 18-hole, four player scramble. Entry fee is $125 per person or if you don't care to golf you can purchase a "food only" ticket for $40. Payment can be made by checks made out to "Mike Haskell Memorial Corp" and mailed to 1567 Division Street, West Charlton, NY 12010 or by Venmo @GolfingForMike. Bragging rights and a TBD prize for the teams with the three best scores. Insults, laughs and a crappy prize for the team with the worst. Optional contests for closest to the pin, longest drive, 50/50 and others. Tickets include:

a continental breakfast featuring donuts, pastries, muffins, regular/decaf coffee and tea during sign in
a custom t-shirt to commemorate the event (included with food ticket as well!)
18 holes with a cart
a "grab and go" lunch of burgers, hotdogs, and soft drinks at the turn
a full hot and cold buffet following the scramble

WHEN: Friday, August 23, 2024 - Sign in at 7:30am followed by a shotgun start at 8:00am

WHY: Because we love and miss Mike and we want to honor his memory and raise money for his favorite cause.
